Temporary road closures and changed traffic arrangements will be in place as Canberrans attend the National Multicultural Festival, which returns to the city centre from Friday 7 to Sunday 9 February 2025.

Delays are expected and road users should seek an alternate route where possible. Please consider additional road and path closures which may be in place in the area.

Pre/post event - road closures (also closed during the event)
The following roads will be closed before, during and after the National Multicultural Festival:
- Bunda Street – from 8 pm Tuesday 4 February until 8 pm Tuesday 11 February
- Petrie Street – from 8 pm Tuesday 4 February until 8 pm Tuesday 11 February
- Ainslie Place – from 4 am Thursday 6 February until 4 am Monday 10 February.
During the event - road closures
- Bunda Street:
- Genge Street to Akuna Street from 8 pm Tuesday 4 February until 8 pm Tuesday 11 February
- Akuna Street and Binara Street from 12 am Thursday 6 February until 4 am Monday 10 February
- Ainslie Place - from 4 am Thursday 6 February until 4 am Monday 10 February
- London Circuit - from 8 pm Thursday 6 February until 4 am Monday 10 February:
- Northbourne Avenue and Akuna Street
- northbound lanes closed between Akuna Street and Constitution Avenue,
- Akuna Street - from Cooyong Street to London Circuit from 8 pm Thursday 6 February until 4 am Monday 10 February
- Rabaul Lane – from 3 pm and 6:30 pm, Saturday 8 February.
Carpark closures
- Bailey’s Corner carpark – full closure Thursday 6 February until Monday 10 February.
